Technology development has long ago implemented the Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) or simply inverters, for the continuous speed regulation of asynchronous induction motors in the fields of industry as well as building applications.
The big advantage of the variable frequency drives is the speed regulation of “cheap” motors and energy saving at nominal torque, since the device recognizes the load’s demands and adapts the motor properly.
We always have in our stock variable frequency drives of ΕΑΤΟΝ, Invertek and Schneider Electric (Telemecanique) and other brands, suitable for your application, either it is a simple speed regulation by means of a potentiometer or motion under certain profiles of speed and torque or a combination of more than one device or accurate operations based on closed loop mode by means of encoders or transducers.
Our company designs, develops, installs and supports the proper inverter for every particular application, constructing the switchboard and supplying the peripheral equipment whenever it is necessary for the correct machine’s operation.
Soft Starters compose the alternative solution in starting squirrel cage induction motors, instead of DOL or STAR-DELTA conventional starting methods. Their big advantage is that they ensure soft starting and soft stopping with full control of inrush current and corresponding torque. Simultaneously they provide specialized protection functions concerning the drive as well as the motor, such as thermal, overload, overheat, line voltage asymmetry, under load, 3 phase sequence etc.
The wider application field is pumping, as they achieve to control fully the pump offering uninterruptible operation without hydraulic shocks, mechanical problems and what else comes from the abrupt starting especially at higher power ratings.
Between manufacturers, we have chosen EATON and Schneider Electric (Telemecanique) soft starters, as they have the capability of absolutely linear starting of the motor and provide “smart” protection.
Soft starter’s adaptation on any application consists a well known subject to us. We can advice, choose, supply the soft starter and the peripheral equipment, construct the switchboard, install and maintain them on the machine.
DC machine has been in fact the first practical device for the transformation of electric energy to mechanical and vise versa. Simple functional characteristics, flexible settlement and high performance helped the spreading of DC motor to lots of applications.
Up to date DC DRIVES with special operational functions, are still playing determinative role in many fields of industry as paper handling, plastics, casting and generally where fast dynamic behavior and speed accuracy are simultaneously needed.
Independently of whether the application concerns speed or torque regulation, the motor is equipped with field excitation winding or permanent magnets, armature feedback, tacho or encoder feedback, we dispose the proper DC DRIVE, construct the switchboard, supply the peripheral devices, install it on your machine and make the startup.
